In an explosive offensive performance, CJ McCollum led the New Orleans Pelicans to a convincing 153-124 victory over the Utah Jazz on Tuesday night. McCollum’s impressive 33-point contribution, combined with outstanding team play, resulted in a franchise-record point total for the Pelicans.
The Pelicans’ previous record was set on October 19, 2018, in a 149-129 victory over the Sacramento Kings. In this latest win, Herbert Jones Jr. scored 22 points, Brandon Ingram added 18, Jonas Valanciunas contributed 17 points and 12 rebounds, while Zion Williamson achieved a double-double with 17 points and a career-high 11 assists. The Pelicans not only set a record for total points but also recorded a franchise-best 41 assists.
On the other side, the Utah Jazz, despite efforts from Collin Sexton (22 points), Simone Fontecchio (18 points), and John Collins (14 points), suffered their third consecutive loss after a six-game winning streak.
