Phillies’ starting pitcher Ranger Suarez (4-6) delivered a strong performance, pitching 6 2/3 innings, allowing five hits and four runs while striking out six batters and issuing two walks. Closer Jose Alvarado secured the win, earning his ninth save in 11 chances.

Mets’ starter David Peterson lasted only four innings, giving up five hits and four runs while striking out seven batters and issuing two walks. Jeff Brigham (1-3) took the loss.

In the sixth inning, Vientos hit a home run to tie the game at 4-4, marking his third home run in two games. The Phillies quickly regained the lead at 5-4 in the same inning when Castellanos crushed a solo homer to left-center, his third home run in the last two games, sealing the Phillies’ victory.
