The 23-year-old standout surpassed notable contenders including team mates Kevin de Bruyne and John Stones, Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka, as well as former Tottenham player Harry Kane, now with Bayern Munich.
Haaland’s meteoric rise is underscored by his remarkable feat of netting an astonishing 52 goals in 53 appearances across various competitions during the last season. His contributions were instrumental in Manchester City’s triumphant campaign, clinching the Premier League, FA Cup, and the coveted Champions League titles.
