Utah State men’s basketball head coach Jerrod Calhoun announced Monday the addition of two new forwards, Garry Clark and Zach Keller, for the 2025-26 season. Both players will join the Aggies for their final year of college eligibility.
Garry Clark – 6’8” Forward – Texas A&M-Corpus Christi
Clark arrives at Utah State after two standout seasons at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. The 6-foot-8, 210-pound forward started 61 of 67 games with the Islanders and earned first-team All-Southland Conference honors in both years.
“We are excited to welcome Garry to the Aggie family,” Calhoun said. “He brings a winning background and can play multiple forward positions. His size, scoring, and rebounding will have an immediate impact in the Mountain West.”
In the 2024-25 season, Clark led the Islanders with 14.9 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. He scored in double figures in 33 of 34 games and had eight double-doubles, the most in the conference. He also topped the league in field goal percentage at 54.9%.
The season before, Clark averaged 13.2 points and 8.1 rebounds while again leading his team. He had nine double-doubles and shot 53.2% from the floor. He was named Southland Conference Player of the Week twice and earned NABC All-District First Team honors.
Before joining Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Clark played one year at Tarleton State and began his college career at Western Texas Junior College. At Western Texas, he averaged 18.2 points and 10.7 rebounds per game, logging double figures in 22 of 23 games.
Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Clark played high school basketball at Cardinal Ritter College Prep, where he led his team to the 2020 Missouri Class 3 state title.
Zach Keller – 6’10” Forward – Utah
Keller, a 6-foot-10 forward, transfers to Utah State after spending the 2024-25 season with the University of Utah. He began his college career at Wake Forest, playing two seasons in the ACC.
“We are thrilled to welcome Zach to the Aggie family,” said Calhoun. “He’s played at a high level in both the ACC and Big 12. His versatile skill set will fit well in our system, and we look forward to his growth in our program.”
Last season with the Utes, Keller appeared in 28 games and averaged 9.8 minutes per game. He shot 56.1% from the field and made 40% of his three-point attempts. His season-best performance came against Texas Tech, where he scored 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting.
At Wake Forest, Keller played in 44 games across two seasons, starting 14 of them. As a sophomore, he averaged 1.6 points and 2.0 rebounds per game and posted a season-high 10 points against Utah. In his freshman year, he scored a season-best 11 points in a win over La Salle.
A native of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Keller starred at ThunderRidge High School. He was ranked as the No. 10 power forward in the country and a four-star recruit by ESPN. As a senior, he was named Colorado 5A Player of the Year and led his team to the state championship game. He helped ThunderRidge win the state title during his junior year.
With Clark and Keller, the Aggies add depth, experience, and versatility to their frontcourt for the upcoming season.
