The Second Cosco JMD Under-11, 13, and 15 Boys and Girls Badminton Championship concluded in Kanpur on Sunday with impressive performances across age groups.
In the Under-13 category, Nikita Bhatia claimed the girls’ singles title after a dominant 21-11, 24-22 win over Aarna Dwivedi. On the boys’ side, Kandarp Khatri crushed Vidit Singhal 21-2, 21-3 to lift the title.
In the Under-15 boys’ singles final, Shardul Khatri defeated Shrestha Shukla 21-15, 21-6 to clinch the title.
The mixed doubles final saw Atharva Yadav and Aditri Katiyar triumph over Siddharth Pratap Singh and Paridhi Yadav 21-9, 21-8.
In the Under-13 boys’ doubles final, the Khatri brothers, Shardul and Kandarp, overpowered Hammad Khan and Vaibhav Tripathi with a 21-8, 21-7 victory.
Cricket – Cawnpore Sunday League
Crazy Rangers advanced to the final of the Cawnpore Sunday League for the Spark 1 Trophy with a seven-wicket win over Mayur Miracles at the Kanpur South Ground.
Batting first, Mayur Miracles posted 185 runs in 27.2 overs, with Lavish Srivastava scoring a team-high 55. In reply, Crazy Rangers chased down the target with ease, finishing at 187 for 3. Ayush Pathak and Ayush Shukla both contributed 55 runs each.
Crazy Rangers will face Patel Properties in the final next Sunday.
KDMA League – Senior Division
In the KDMA Senior Division League, host team IIT crushed Graduate Club by nine wickets on Sunday. With this win, IIT secured full points in the match.
