The Augusta University women’s tennis team has reached a new milestone, climbing to No. 44 in the latest Division II ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings. This marks the Jaguars’ highest position yet after cracking the top 50 for the first time earlier this season in March.
Augusta holds a 13-5 overall record and a 2-3 mark in Peach Belt Conference (PBC) play. The team is currently riding a four-match winning streak as it enters the final stretch of the regular season.
The Jaguars have been especially strong at home, recording an impressive 11-2 record at Newman Tennis Center. Their season has been highlighted by key non-conference wins over Benedict, Clark Atlanta, Francis Marion, and Coker. They also earned close victories against Emmanuel, Montevallo, Georgia Southwestern, and Lander.
Augusta’s final regular-season match will take place on the road at Flagler College on Thursday, April 17. The team will then prepare for the Peach Belt Conference Championships, which begin on April 25 in Columbus, Georgia.
