Portland State men’s basketball continues to build its roster for the upcoming season with the addition of center Kean Webb. Head coach Jase Coburn announced the signing ahead of the 2025-26 campaign, marking Webb as the third new recruit to join the program.
Standing at 6 feet 11 inches and weighing 230 pounds, Webb will enter the program as a sophomore. He brings size, mobility, and energy to the Vikings’ frontcourt.
“We are really excited with the addition of Kean Webb,” Coburn said. “He brings a lot of things we value—energy, passion, and spirit. His size and mobility will make a real impact for us. We’re confident he’ll continue to grow here, just like our other bigs have in the past.”
Webb played his freshman season at the University of San Diego. He appeared in 25 games, starting 10, and averaged 14.7 minutes per contest. During that time, he posted averages of 3.2 points and 2.2 rebounds, shooting 56.3% from the field and 76.5% from the free-throw line.
Originally from St. George, Utah, Webb played high school basketball at American Fork High School. He also completed a post-grad year at Golden State Prep in Napa, California. While there, he averaged 18 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists, earning All-State and All-Region honors.
Webb is the third player to sign with Portland State for next season. He joins a roster that includes seven returning players, two of whom were starters.
