Football is back in Stephenville this weekend as Tarleton State University hosts its annual Purple and White Spring Game on Saturday at Memorial Stadium. The event, presented by Focused Care Partners, will begin at 12 p.m. and is free for all students and fans to attend.
The game is part of Tarleton State’s Founder’s Week celebrations and offers a first look at the 2025 Texan Football team. Fans who can’t attend in person can tune in to a live radio broadcast on the Tarleton Sports Network.
For the third year in a row, the game will follow a unique scoring format, pitting the offense (Purple) against the defense (White) in a competitive scrimmage.
Saturday will feel like a full game day in Stephenville. Texan Alley tailgating will open at 8 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis, excluding RV spots. Pointe du Hoc, a fan tradition, will begin at 8:40 a.m. on Rudder Way. Memorial Stadium gates open at 11 a.m., with kickoff set for noon.
After the game, fans are invited to meet the players during a postgame autograph session at the bottom of the west side bleachers. Free 2025 Texan Football schedule posters will be available for fans to get signed.
