BATON ROUGE, La. — Former LSU wide receiver Kyren Lacy has died at the age of 25, a family member confirmed to WAFB on Sunday morning.
Lacy was scheduled to appear before a grand jury on Monday in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred earlier this year.
During his final season with the LSU Tigers, Lacy started all 12 games. He recorded 58 receptions for 866 yards and scored nine touchdowns.
He had been preparing for the 2025 NFL Draft and was widely projected to be a first-round pick.
The cause of Lacy’s death has not been released. Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and more details are expected to emerge.
