Fordham Women’s Tennis Claims 4-0 Victory Over Seton Hall, Extends Winning Streak

The Fordham women’s tennis team extended its winning streak to four matches on Wednesday, delivering a dominant 4-0 shutout over Seton Hall at the Campus Courts at Ivy Hill Park in South Orange, N.J.

The Rams quickly secured the doubles point, winning all three doubles matches. Nevena Kolarevic and Julianne Nguyen triumphed 6-2 at first doubles over Seton Hall’s Niamh Campbell and Arabella Moen. Lorraine Bergmann and Lily Chitambar followed with a 6-1 win at second doubles over Hili Kronzon and Rachel Benoualid. Paola Ueno Dalmonico and Catalina Padilla Udaeta completed the sweep with a 6-0 victory at third doubles against Aili Hietala and Imogen Brooker.

Fordham continued its dominance in singles play, winning the first three completed matches in straight sets to secure the 4-0 win. Bergmann defeated Tasmin Hart 6-1, 6-0 at second singles, Chitambar beat Ellie Coe 6-0, 6-2 at third singles, and Sofie Siem took down Kronzon 6-2, 6-0 at sixth singles.

With only four courts available, first and fifth singles were not played before Fordham clinched the match.
