The Austin Peay State University men’s tennis team will take on St. Louis University in a midweek non-conference match on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center.
Austin Peay (5-11, 1-5 ASUN) enters the match looking to bounce back from a 0-4 loss to Bellarmine on April 2 in Louisville.
St. Louis (record not provided) is also coming off a defeat, having fallen 1-4 to Davidson on April 5. Despite the loss, the Billikens claimed the doubles point with victories on courts one and three. Andres Castellanos and Valentin Vasquez edged out a 7-5 win over Davidson’s Nico Pinzon and Gregorio Hildago on court one. Meanwhile, Riki Koshimizu and Sansh Kumar secured a 6-4 win on court three.
Wednesday’s match will mark the fifth all-time meeting between the two programs. St. Louis holds a 4-0 advantage in the series, including a narrow 4-3 victory over the Governors earlier this season on February 18 in Evansville, Indiana.
