Gauff, currently ranked No. 3 in the WTA singles rankings, is one of the top-earning female athletes in 2024. She said she made this decision to have more control over her professional journey.

“I’m excited to build something that allows me to take greater ownership of my career while also creating opportunities that extend beyond myself as I continue to grow as an athlete, entrepreneur, and changemaker,” Gauff shared in her announcement.

She also emphasized that while she is expanding into business and philanthropy, tennis remains her top priority.

“From the moment I first picked up a tennis racket, I’ve always believed my purpose extended far beyond the court,” she wrote. “Coco Gauff Enterprises is a venture that reflects my passion for making an impact – not just in tennis, but in business, philanthropy, and beyond.”

Earlier this year, Gauff was chosen as one of Team USA’s flagbearers at the Opening Ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics, walking alongside NBA star LeBron James.

To help run her new venture, Gauff will partner with WME Sports, a leading agency known for representing stars like Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic.
