Liverpool will visit Japan for the first time in their history during this year’s preseason tour, the club confirmed on Monday.
Details regarding the dates and opponents for the matches will be revealed in the near future. Liverpool, currently leading the Premier League, includes Japan’s national team captain Wataru Endo in their squad.
“I’m really happy about it,” Endo shared on Liverpool’s official website. “I’m excited to be going to Japan with my teammates, and I’m really looking forward to it.”
Before heading to Japan, Liverpool will face AC Milan in Hong Kong on July 26. The club last toured Asia in 2023, playing in Singapore.
Endo expressed his enthusiasm for the tour, saying, “I know there are a lot of Liverpool fans in Japan, as well as Premier League fans, so I believe everyone is really looking forward to it. I hope all the Liverpool fans in Japan fully enjoy the team’s visit.”
