Missouri State women’s tennis concluded its trip through the Great Lakes region with a 7-0 defeat against UIC on Sunday.
Despite the loss, the Bears (2-14, 1-1 MVC) found a bright spot in the No. 2 doubles match. Sandra Lukacova and Raluca Puscas secured their second consecutive victory, defeating UIC’s Edit Como and Camille Belberka 6-3.
In singles action, freshman Romy Pols put up a strong fight against Anais Brion, winning the first set 6-2. However, Brion rallied to take the next two sets 6-4, 10-8, sealing the match for UIC.
