Bayern Munich veteran Thomas Müller has expressed confidence in the future of the German national team, crediting head coach Julian Nagelsmann for the squad’s recent transformation. In an interview with Bild, Müller shared his thoughts on the team’s progress and the exciting young talents driving its resurgence.
“I think Julian Nagelsmann has managed to turn things around with the team,” Müller said. “I was still there at the beginning of the tournament at the Euros last year. Something has developed there.”
The experienced forward pointed to rising stars like Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz as key figures in the team’s new dynamic.
“With Jamal Musiala and Flo Wirtz, we have players who have desire, who are having fun, and who of course have qualities. Every fan wants to see that,” Müller explained. “They managed to implement what the national team stands for: joy, creativity, and success. Julian Nagelsmann has done a really good job there so far.”
Müller’s praise for his former Bayern coach reflects a growing optimism around the national team’s style and mentality. Fans have noticed a shift in Germany’s approach—one that blends youthful energy with a renewed sense of purpose. With Euro 2024 on the horizon, Müller’s comments add to the anticipation surrounding what this new generation can achieve.
