As flag football prepares for its Olympic debut at Los Angeles 2028, Europe’s top national teams now know where they will compete for continental glory in 2025.
France has been selected to host EURO FLAG 2025, the IFAF European Flag Football Championships, from September 24-27. The tournament will take place at the Parc Interdépartemental de Choisy Paris Val de Marne, located southeast of the French capital.
The event will serve as a qualification tournament for the 2026 IFAF Flag Football World Championships. Both men’s and women’s national teams will compete for spots in the global competition.
Meanwhile, earlier in September, Austria will welcome the continent’s rising stars. Innsbruck will host the 2025 IFAF European Youth Flag Football Championships from September 3-7. The tournament will feature boys’ and girls’ under-17 competitions, along with a mixed under-15 division.
Flag football is set to make history at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. At the sport’s last world championships in 2024, athletes from 31 nations participated, with Switzerland securing bronze in the men’s competition.
