Senior Elena Malykh of the Ball State women’s tennis team has been named the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Singles Player of the Week for the second time in her career.
Malykh delivered one of her strongest performances of the season, securing a commanding victory over Western Michigan’s top player, Lola Glantz. She dominated the match in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2, helping the Cardinals claim a 6-1 team win.
Ball State continues conference play on Friday, hosting Northern Illinois at 1 p.m. ET in Muncie. The match will take place at either the Foster Adams Family Tennis Complex and Bill Richards Tennis Courts (outdoors) or the Ball State Tennis Facility (indoors), depending on weather conditions.
