The Tribe secured its spot in the tournament by winning the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) championship for the first time. William & Mary, the tournament’s No. 9 seed, pulled off a remarkable postseason run, becoming the lowest seed in CAA history to reach—and win—the championship game.

In the semifinals, W&M dominated Drexel with a 76-54 win before edging No. 3 seed Campbell, 66-63, in the championship game on Sunday in Washington, D.C.
