Senior pitcher Joe Sheets delivered a strong start for the Lions, allowing just one run over five innings while striking out four. However, Columbia’s offense struggled, managing only two hits—one from Sam Miller in the first inning and another from Jack Kail in the ninth. Cole Fellows reached base twice on walks.
