Tennis players continue to surprise fans, but an extraordinary moment during the qualifying phase of the Challenger de Hersonissos 1 in Greece has left many in awe. Evangelos Kypriotis, a 21-year-old Greek player ranked 1,942 in the ATP rankings, received a wildcard entry to compete in the tournament’s qualifying rounds.
Kypriotis caught the world’s attention with his unusual playing style. While single-handed backhands are becoming increasingly rare in modern tennis, he confidently uses this elegant stroke. However, the real shock came when he executed a two-handed forehand—something almost unheard of at the professional level.
Despite his remarkable technique, Kypriotis was defeated by Marcello Serafini, ranked 525, with a score of 7-6, 6-1.
