The upcoming matches follow the team’s successful two-game series against Costa Rica, where the Ford Football Ferns were unbeaten, winning one game and drawing the other.

“These two games are a great opportunity for us as a team to continue building on what we started against Costa Rica,” said Mayne.

“We implemented a new playing style, language, and ideas during our February games that we believe will help us improve in the future,” he added.

Mayne also reflected on the positive steps taken during the Costa Rican tour, noting that the players have embraced the collective challenge.

“Now, we need more time together to continue developing our way. A long camp, followed by a closed-door training game and a full international match, is a great opportunity for us at this stage,” he concluded.
