Satinder Malik Dominates Chandigarh State Masters Badminton Championship

Satinder Malik triumphed in the men’s 35+ category of the Chandigarh State Masters & Para Badminton Championship, held at the Sector 42 Sports Complex. He defeated Mohammed Munir 21-13, 21-14 to claim the title. Amit Sondhi and Gurbhash Singh finished third and fourth, respectively.

In the doubles event, Malik teamed up with Amit Sondhi to defeat Mohammed Munir and Arpan Kumar with a score of 21-18, 21-15.

In the men’s 40+ final, Akash Sethi secured a 21-11, 21-16 victory over Naresh Kundu. Binny Bansal won the women’s 40+ event with a 21-17, 21-12 win over Isha Gupta. Mala Gabba finished in third place.

In the men’s doubles final, Paras Gupta and Akash Sethi made a strong comeback to win 18-21, 21-5, 21-12 against Vijendra Kumar and Gaurav. In the women’s doubles 40+ final, Isha Gupta and Mala Gabba triumphed 21-14, 21-10 over Binny Bansal and Geeta Mahajan. In mixed doubles, Akash Sethi and Binny Bansal claimed victory with a 21-15, 21-18 score against Paras Gupta and Isha Gupta.

Nikhil Charri emerged as the winner in the men’s 45+ final, defeating Raminder Singh 21-12, 21-19. Geeta Mahajan claimed the women’s 45+ title with a 21-14, 21-11 win over Sudha. Raminder Singh and Amardeep Singh won the men’s doubles 45+ event with a 21-16, 16-21, 21-18 victory over Aditya Tripathi and Inderpreet Singh. In the mixed doubles final, Geeta Mahajan and Rajeevan Bansal triumphed 21-18, 21-14 over Kuldeep Sharma and Sudha.

In the men’s 50+ category, Deepak Saxena defeated Tejinder Bedi 21-10, 21-15 to claim the title. In the women’s 50+ final, Lavita won 21-17, 21-12 against Nisha Jain. The mixed doubles 50+ final saw Rajesh Bhatia and Geeta Agarwal beat Deepak Saxena and Lavita 27-12, 18-21, 21-19. Lavita and Geeta Agarwal also secured the women’s doubles title with a 21-13, 21-9 victory over Kabita and Samarjeet. In the men’s doubles final, Deepak Saxena and Rajneesh Bhatia defeated Riyaz and Tanny Manu 21-19, 21-16.

In the para players’ category, Mahavir Prasad won the SL3 category with a 21-14, 21-16 win over Sarvesh. Sahil Bidla triumphed in the SL4 event, beating Sachin Kumar 21-18, 21-15. Sanjeev Kumar emerged victorious in the WH1 and WH2 final with a 21-12, 21-10 win over Ajay.
