The North Florida women’s tennis team will travel to Charleston, S.C., to face Charleston Southern on Wednesday, February 26, at 2 p.m. at the Gary Clark Banks Sr. Tennis Center.
The Ospreys enter the match after a strong performance, winning three of their last four matches. Last weekend, North Florida split a pair of matches in Miami, Fla. They defeated North Texas 5-2, securing the doubles point with wins on all three courts. Two of those wins came with a margin of five points or more. North Florida went on to win four singles matches on courts one, four, five, and six to clinch the victory.
Freshman Gabby Goyins is on a three-match win streak and leads the Ospreys in singles play. The duo of freshman Nicole Alfaro Solis and redshirt junior Isabel Oliveira have also been impressive, securing three wins at the top doubles position.
North Florida, a 10-time ASUN Tournament champion and seven-time ASUN Regular Season champion, was predicted to finish second in the 2025 ASUN Preseason Poll. The Ospreys are in their sixth season under two-time ASUN Coach of the Year, Catherine Dunagan. Under her leadership, the team has won three ASUN Regular Season titles, two ASUN Tournament titles, and earned an NCAA Tournament win, along with multiple singles and doubles appearances.
The Ospreys will host Bellarmine for their ASUN opener on Tuesday, March 4, at 10 a.m. at the UNF Tennis Complex.
