Football South Australia (Football SA) officially launched the 2025 season on Friday, February 21, at the newly opened Cooper’s Brewery visitor centre. The event brought together over 100 guests, including senior club representatives and corporate partners, to celebrate the start of the RAA National Premier League (NPL) and Apex Steel Women’s National Premier League (WNPL) seasons.
The Season Launch was hosted by Football SA CEO Michael Carter. Guests were warmly welcomed by Andrew Cooper, a sixth-generation member of the Coopers family and director of the iconic brewery. The newly appointed Minister for Recreation, Sport, and Racing, Hon Emily Bourke, also attended, introducing herself to the football community. The event concluded with closing remarks from Football SA President Dr. Jane Rathjen.
Stefan Mauk, host of *The World Game* on 5AA and Adelaide United midfielder, led interviews with key figures in South Australian football. Playford Patriots Head Coach Ben Moore, whose team was recently promoted, and Flinders United’s newly appointed Head Coach Tom Monsigneur shared their insights and expectations for the upcoming RAA NPL and Apex Steel WNPL seasons.
