STOCKTON – The Pacific men’s tennis team is set to play its final two away matches for over a month as they travel to Arizona this weekend. The Tigers will face Grand Canyon on Friday at 12 p.m. and UNLV on Saturday at 10 a.m. Both matches will take place at the GCU Tennis Facility.
The team last competed on February 9. Since then, they hosted a UTR Pro Tennis Tournament from February 10-16, which saw junior Tiago Silva emerge as the champion. Silva has been a standout performer this season, alongside graduate Ran Amar and sophomore Christof Schaertlin Coffey. The doubles pair of Amar and Coffey has climbed to No. 71 in the national rankings, showcasing their strong form.
Pacific (2-4) holds a 3-1 series advantage over Grand Canyon (6-2). However, this will be the first time the two teams meet on Grand Canyon’s home court. The Tigers will look to extend their dominance in the series.
Saturday’s match against UNLV presents a tougher challenge. Pacific is 0-3 all-time against the Runnin’ Rebels, with their last meeting dating back to 2020. The Tigers will aim to break their losing streak and secure a historic win.
Fans won’t be able to watch the matches live, but live stats will be available for those following along.
