Blazers to Face No. 21 UCF, Stetson, and South Carolina State in Weekend Showdown
BIRMINGHAM – The UAB men’s tennis team (4-5) is set to travel to Florida for a three-match road trip this weekend. The Blazers will kick off their campaign against No. 21 UCF on Friday, followed by matches against Stetson on Saturday and South Carolina State on Sunday morning.
The team is looking to bounce back after a 4-2 loss to Troy in their last outing. Despite the setback, Noah Malige has been a standout performer for UAB this season. Malige boasts a 6-2 record on Court One, including two impressive victories over ranked opponents.
UAB has also shown strength in doubles play, securing the doubles point in five of their nine matches this year. Notably, the Blazers have won the doubles point in all four of their victories this season, highlighting the importance of strong starts in their successful matches.
The upcoming matches in Florida will be a test for the Blazers as they aim to improve their season record and build momentum.
