The Japan rugby national team’s schedule for the 2025 Autumn Nations Series was announced on Wednesday, February 19.
Under the guidance of head coach Eddie Jones, the Brave Blossoms will play three matches against Ireland, Wales, and Georgia on consecutive Saturdays in November, as confirmed by the Japan Rugby Football Union.
Japan will begin its European tour on November 8, facing Ireland, currently ranked No. 2 in the world (as of February 17), in Dublin.
Eddie Jones expects a tough challenge. “We’re excited to end the year with three great test matches,” he said. “Ireland is the most consistent team in the world in attack, and their defense is world-class.”
On November 15, Japan will play Wales in Cardiff. The Welsh capital is known for its lively rugby atmosphere, which Jones is looking forward to. “Playing Wales in Cardiff is one of the best experiences in rugby,” he said. “The atmosphere is arguably the best in the world.”
The tour will conclude with a match against Georgia, ranked 11th in the world, at a venue to be announced in Eastern Europe.
Jones has praised Georgia’s recent improvements. “Georgia is the most improved team in the world,” he said. “Their strong forwards are now complemented by skillful and adventurous backs. It will be a fitting end to a memorable tour.”
