Tottenham secured their third win of the season against Manchester United, moving above them in the Premier League standings. United, now in 15th place, find themselves below David Moyes’ Everton.
The visitors, weakened by injuries, struggled to respond to James Maddison’s 13th-minute goal, which gave Spurs their first home league victory since November 3.
United manager Ruben Amorim acknowledged his team’s struggles after the match, saying, “I have a lot of problems. My job is hard, but I am here to continue with my beliefs and try to win again next week.”
For Spurs, the win was more than just three points. They also welcomed back several key players from injury, including Brennan Johnson, Destiny Udogie, Wilson Odobert, and goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, alongside Maddison, who scored the match-winner.
