SMARTECH has officially been announced as the naming rights partner for both the Super Rugby Pacific and Super Rugby Women’s competitions for 2025, marking a significant partnership in Australian rugby.
As part of this major deal, the SMARTECH logo will be prominently displayed on the playing shorts of the four Australian teams in Super Rugby Pacific and all five teams in Super Rugby Women’s this season. The partnership provides SMARTECH with increased visibility within the rugby community, further enhancing its position in the sports industry.
“We are delighted to welcome SMARTECH to the Australian rugby family and to have our Super Rugby competitions supported by such a respected market leader,” Rugby Australia (RA) CEO Phil Waugh stated. “The accolades SMARTECH has earned in recent years demonstrate their commitment to teamwork and exceptional service, qualities that align perfectly with the values of our competitions.”
Waugh also expressed his enthusiasm for working closely with SMARTECH throughout the 2025 season. He acknowledged Buildcorp’s role in sponsoring Super W from its inception in 2018 through to 2024 and praised their contribution to elevating women’s rugby. “To have SMARTECH as the naming rights partner across both men’s and women’s Super Rugby competitions is a testament to the significant progress made,” Waugh added.
SMARTECH represents several major global technology brands, including HP, Epson, Canon, Pitney Bowes, and many others, solidifying its presence in the industry.
Vincent Nair, Executive Chairman and CEO of SMARTECH, expressed pride in the new partnership, saying, “It is with great privilege to announce that SMARTECH Business Systems will be stepping onto the field as the naming rights partner for the Super Rugby Pacific and Super Rugby Women’s competitions. We are honoured to partner with Rugby Australia and support some of the world’s greatest athletes.”
Nair also highlighted SMARTECH’s recent recognition as an employer of choice, a distinction earned largely thanks to the efforts of its exceptional team.
