The Northern Kentucky “That’s My Boy” Award is named in honor of Brian P. Williams, a former standout athlete who tragically lost his life in the 9/11 attacks at the World Trade Center. Williams was a three-sport athlete and an academic star at Covington Catholic High School. The award celebrates athletes who exemplify his athleticism and character.

This year’s Northern Kentucky nominees include Austin Alexander (Cooper), Kaleb Cole (Newport Central Catholic), Cole Howard (Beechwood), and Tate Kruer (Covington Catholic). The 2024 recipient of the “That’s My Boy” award is Evan Pitzer, a senior at Covington Catholic.

The award for Miami University’s honoree will be announced at a later date.

Special recognition will also be given to Petey Jones of Cincinnati College Prep Academy, who will receive the Tom Potter Courage Award. This award is presented to individuals who have overcome significant personal challenges. Tom Potter was known for his courage and unwavering commitment to young people, traits that Jones has exemplified in his own life.

Finally, the NFF will present the Lifetime Achievement Award to Zachery Taylor, a former coach at Batavia, Bethel-Tate, Glen Este, Mason, West Clermont, and Williamsburg.
