RB Leipzig defeated Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0, ending their winless run and advancing to the German Cup quarter-finals.
Leipzig had not won in their last six matches, including five losses. Frankfurt, on the other hand, were second in the Bundesliga and had won their last seven games.
The match took a turn when Benjamin Sesko scored for Leipzig in the 31st minute. Lois Openda added two more goals, one in the 50th minute and another in the 58th. His second goal was a powerful long-range shot.
In another game, Karlsruhe and Augsburg played to a 1-1 draw, sending the match into extra time.
