Miomir Kecmanovic advanced to the semifinals of the Adelaide Open with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over French qualifier Benjamin Bonzi on Thursday. The Serb, ranked No. 55, will next face the winner of the match between Australian wildcard Thanasi Kokkinakis and American second seed Sebastian Korda.
Kecmanovic’s path to the semifinals included wins over Kazakh Alexander Bublik (6-4, 6-2) and Australian Christopher O’Connell (7-6 (1), 6-2).
Bonzi, ranked No. 70, previously defeated Australian wildcard Li Tu (6-3, 6-3) in the tournament’s earlier rounds.
