Angelo Stiller, midfielder for VfB Stuttgart, has been linked with a move to FC Barcelona, but he remains focused on his current club. The 23-year-old has a contract with Stuttgart until 2027 and has addressed the recent transfer speculation.
In an interview with Sport Bild, Stiller acknowledged the rumors but made it clear he is not distracted by them. “Of course, you hear some speculation about a transfer. I’m sometimes asked about it, even in the dressing room,” he said. However, he emphasized his commitment to Stuttgart, stating, “I don’t deal with the topic. It’s the wrong time to think about it. I’m at VfB, that’s where my focus is.”
Adding to the speculation, Stiller recently switched his representation to Volker Struth of Sports360. “Volker and his project have completely convinced me. He has a lot to offer, and I got on well with him straight away. That was very important for me,” Stiller explained.
In other Stuttgart news, the club, along with SSV Ulm 1846, has agreed to end the loan of attacking midfielder Laurin Ulrich earlier than planned. The 19-year-old, who made only five appearances for Ulm in the 2. Bundesliga, will return to Stuttgart’s reserve team in the 3. Liga.
Markus Thiele, Ulm’s sporting director, said, “Unfortunately, Laurin was unable to gain as much playing time with us as we had hoped. Laurin is a young, very talented player who will go his way. We wish him only the best.”
VfB’s sporting director, Christian Gentner, added, “We have decided to end Laurin’s loan prematurely. Laurin will gain match practice in our U21 team during the second half of the season and help us achieve our sporting goals in the 3. Liga.”
These moves reflect Stuttgart’s ongoing commitment to developing young talent and keeping key players focused amid transfer speculation.
