Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard will not play in Friday night’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers due to a strained right calf, the team announced in an injury report released Thursday night.
Lillard, a seven-time All-NBA selection, was recognized earlier in the day as a member of the NBA Cup all-tournament team after averaging 27.3 points across six tournament games. He contributed 23 points in the Bucks’ 97-81 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder in the championship game held in Las Vegas on Tuesday.
In addition to Lillard, forward Khris Middleton (illness) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (right patella tendinopathy) are listed as probable for Friday’s matchup. Middleton did not participate in the NBA Cup final.
