Radwanska Returns to WTA as Linette’s Coach

Agnieszka Radwanska is making her return to the WTA Tour as a coach, having agreed to join Magda Linette’s team. The former world No. 2 and 2012 Wimbledon runner-up, who retired after the 2018 season, will serve as a “consultant and second coach” for Linette, currently ranked No. 38 in the world. Radwanska is expected to accompany Linette for at least 8 to 10 weeks, with their partnership set to last through the end of the clay season, after which they will evaluate their collaboration.

Linette, 32, expressed her excitement on social media, stating, “Someone pinch me! @ARadwanska just joined my team!” This announcement follows Radwanska’s brief coaching stint during the 2023 United Cup, where she and her husband, Dawid Celt, served as team captains for Poland. Linette was also part of that team, performing well by winning three of her four singles matches.

In 2024, Linette faced challenges with consistency, finishing the year with a 30-26 record and ranking just inside the top 40. However, she did secure a title at the WTA 250 tournament in Prague in July.

With Radwanska’s experience now on her side, Linette will be looking to improve her performance in the upcoming 2025 season. It will be intriguing to see how Radwanska transitions into her coaching role and whether she can help Linette achieve significant results on the tour.
