Ante Budimir continued his impressive scoring streak, netting a goal to help Osasuna secure a 1-1 draw against Sevilla in La Liga on Monday.
With this result, Osasuna narrowed the gap to the top four teams to three points, while Sevilla remains four points behind.
The match struggled to gain momentum until Budimir broke the deadlock in the 69th minute, heading in a cross from Jesús Areso. This marked Budimir’s ninth goal in his last ten league appearances.
However, Osasuna’s lead was short-lived, as Dodi Lukebakio equalized just three minutes later. He capitalized on a long ball from substitute Saúl, rounding goalkeeper Sergio Herrera before slotting the ball into the net.
In the closing moments, both Herrera and Sevilla’s Álvaro Fernández made crucial saves to ensure their teams shared the points.
