If you’ve ever imagined an NFL game through the lens of Madden NFL Football, NBC is set to make that vision a reality.
The network announced Thursday that it will produce an alternate broadcast of the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the Houston Texans on December 21, featuring elements inspired by the popular video game franchise. This special broadcast will air on Peacock, while NBC will provide the traditional coverage, which is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. on the third Saturday of December.
According to NBC, the alternate stream will offer an immersive experience by blending live action with video game elements. Viewers can expect animated overlays that incorporate Madden NFL’s distinctive brand features, creating a data-driven football experience.
The broadcast will be hosted by Paul Burmeister, who will be joined by former Green Bay Packers quarterback Kurt Benkert, professional Madden player Henry Leverette, and former Cincinnati Bengals and New England Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocinco. Both Benkert and Ochocinco are known for their enthusiasm for the Madden series.
