Basaksehir was held to a 1-1 draw at home by Moldovan side Petrocub in the UEFA Conference League on Wednesday.
Petrocub equalized in stoppage time with a header from Ion Bors, securing the team’s first point in the third-tier European competition. Earlier, Turkish forward Krzysztof Piątek had put Başakşehir ahead by converting a penalty kick just three minutes before halftime.
With this result, Başakşehir now has two points from four matches in the group stage.
The remaining fixtures of the fourth round are set to take place on Thursday, including a clash between Chelsea and German club Heidenheim, featuring two of the six teams that remain unbeaten in the tournament.
