Columbia High School senior Ayden Phillips is setting his sights on the future as he prepares for one final swing at a state title.
On Wednesday morning, Phillips signed his National Letter of Intent (NLI) to play baseball for Jacksonville University. The signing ceremony took place at the CHS auditorium, where Phillips, a multi-sport athlete, has made a name for himself in both football and baseball.
Phillips has shined on the baseball field, especially during his junior year. He led the team with six home runs, a career-high 31 RBIs, and eight career doubles. One of his most memorable achievements came when he hit for the cycle against Santa Fe, showcasing his all-around talent.
