Aurora Lane, a junior setter and pin hitter, has made a significant impact in her first year competing in Idaho’s 2A classification and the Scenic Idaho Conference. Leading Clark Fork’s 6-2 offense, Lane has demonstrated impressive skills throughout the season.
She has recorded multiple double-digit assists and aces. Notably, she achieved 17 aces in a victory against Mullan, followed by 18 aces and 12 assists in a win over Kootenai. Lane also contributed 15 assists during the Lady Cats’ homecoming game against Lakeside. This marks her third year on the varsity team and her first as a co-captain.
Clark Fork High head coach Lyndsie Kiebert-Carey praised Lane’s abilities, calling her one of the most elite servers she has ever coached. Lane is particularly noted for her effective jump serve and her skill in spotting serves.
Coach Kiebert-Carey shared her thoughts on Lane’s contributions: “Aurora Lane represents our program well in every sense. She gives her all on the court and maintains an encouraging tone, even when passers struggle. She is a leader in huddles and readily takes ownership of her mistakes. She celebrates her teammates’ successes before her own. She’s also a committed student. I’m so glad that the coaches in our new league recognized her hard work and leadership this season.”
