Rajasthan’s talented shuttler, Parul Choudhary, has reached the finals of the All-India Sub Junior (U-15 & U-17) Ranking Badminton tournament in Vijayawada.
On Thursday, the second-seeded Parul defeated ninth seed Shaina Manimuthu in a thrilling match. After losing the first game 17-21, Parul came back to win the next two games 21-18 and 21-19, securing her place in the finals.
The match was intense, especially in the third game, where both players fought hard. Parul maintained her composure and won the final game 21-19.
Parul had previously won her first national title at an All-India tournament in Hyderabad, making her the first girl from Rajasthan to achieve this honor. In the final on Friday, she will compete against top seed Rishika Nandi, who won her semi-final match against unseeded A Mokshitha with a score of 21-14, 21-11.
Earlier in the tournament, Parul easily defeated fourteenth seed Disha Santosh 21-14, 21-14 in the quarter-finals. She faced a tougher challenge in the Round of 16, where she overcame twelfth seed Shourya Madavi. After losing the first game 17-21, Parul rebounded to win the next two games 21-8 and 21-16.
