Bexar County Commissioners approved funding for the downtown San Antonio Missions baseball stadium on Tuesday.
The decision came during a commissioners’ meeting where most public feedback was positive. Many attendees supported the funding plan for the new stadium.
However, some residents expressed concern about the future of those living in the Soap Factory Apartments. These apartments are owned by Western Urban, the same group overseeing the stadium’s development. The Soap Factory Apartments will be demolished as part of the stadium project.
Commissioners assured the public that tenants of the Soap Factory Apartments would be relocated when the time comes.
