LOS ANGELES – Missouri State University has announced that it will open the 2025 college football season against the University of Southern California (USC). The game is set for August 30, 2025, at the historic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
This matchup will mark a significant milestone for Missouri State as it will be their first game as an FBS program. Additionally, it will be the inaugural meeting between the Bears and the Trojans.
Missouri State will officially join Conference USA on July 1, 2025.
The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, where USC has played since its construction in 1923, is one of America’s most iconic sports venues. It has been recognized by The Sporting News as one of the 40 best stadiums for college football experiences and was ranked No. 3 by StadiumJourney.com in 2014. The Coliseum is also slated to host the opening and closing ceremonies, along with track and field events, during the 2028 Olympic Games.
In addition to the USC game, Missouri State has scheduled other non-conference matchups for the 2025 season, including:
September 6: at Marshall
September 13: vs. SMU
September 20: vs. UT Martin
The complete schedule for Missouri State’s first season in Conference USA will be announced by the conference at a later date.
