The 2024 Australian Club Volleyball Championships wrapped up today after ten days of exciting competition, following the successful Sitting Volleyball and Youth Championships that ended on Friday.
Heidelberg claimed the Men’s Premier Final for the third consecutive year, defeating Sydney Acers 3-1. In the third-place playoff, Sydney United triumphed over KVA Future Stars after a hard-fought five-set match.
In the Women’s Premier division, Sydney’s Vostok Volleyball Club stopped KVA Future Stars from winning a third straight title, securing a 3-0 victory in the final. Vostok went through the tournament undefeated, losing only three sets.
Volley Friends United Melbourne successfully defended their bronze medal from 2023 with a 3-1 win over Sydney United.
In Men’s Division Two, Sydney United improved on their 2023 bronze by winning gold this year. They faced a tough challenge from Impact in the semifinals before defeating Vikings 2-1 in the final.
Send It Volleyball stood out as a top team in the Women’s Division Two, winning every set in their three Pool D matches. They achieved 2-0 victories in the quarterfinals and semifinals before winning the final against Going Global Volleyball 2-1. Lynx Volleyball Club took home the bronze by defeating Melbourne University Renegades.
