Duke basketball coach Jon Scheyer and his staff are focused on maintaining their strong recruiting momentum after securing the top class for the 2024-25 season.
As current recruits like Cooper Flagg, Khaman Maluach, Kon Knueppel, Isaiah Evans, Darren Harris, and Patrick Ngongba prepare for their debut, Scheyer is already targeting prospects for the 2025 class.
The Blue Devils have their eyes on several key players, including Cameron Boozer, Cayden Boozer, Koa Peat, and Shelton Henderson. Here is an update on these top targets for Duke’s 2025-26 roster:
Cameron Boozer and Cayden Boozer
The twin sons of Duke legend Carlos Boozer visited Duke during the weekend of August 30. The five-star recruits were seen attending the Duke vs. Elon football game at Wallace Wade Stadium. Miami is also a strong contender in their recruitment.
Koa Peat
A five-star forward, Peat is scheduled for an official visit to Duke on September 20. Other schools vying for his commitment include Arkansas, Baylor, and Arizona. Adding Peat to the roster could bolster Duke’s frontcourt alongside Cameron Boozer.
Shelton Henderson
Henderson, a four-star wing from Texas, might be the first of the 2025 recruits to commit to Duke. He is set to visit Durham on September 27. Recruiting services consider Henderson a likely Duke commit, with Houston and Texas as the main competitors.
Nate Ament
Ament recently hosted a visit from Scheyer and the Duke staff. As one of the fastest-rising prospects, Ament is anticipated to be a standout freshman forward. Duke has been in the mix since offering him a scholarship in September 2023.
Nikolas Khamenia
Following a visit to North Carolina, Khamenia will visit Duke this weekend. The 6-foot-6 forward and four-star recruit has also visited Arizona and has a planned visit to UCLA. Scheyer extended a scholarship offer to Khamenia in late June.
