Manning, a former student of Jack Hunt School, has been in exceptional form, helping GB secure victories in all three of their group stage matches. On Monday evening, they dominated France with an 85-50 win in front of nearly 13,000 spectators, earning a top seed in the quarter-finals. They are set to face Australia at the Bercy Arena tonight at 6:15 p.m.

Manning, who plays professionally in Spain, contributed 12 points in the victory over France, adding to the 37 points he scored in earlier wins against Canada and Germany. Despite finishing at the bottom of their group, Australia remains in the competition, as no teams are eliminated during the group stage.

A win against Australia would see GB advance to the semi-finals on Thursday. That day is also significant for Stilton shooter Matt Skelhon, who will have a second chance to win a medal after finishing fifth last weekend.
