The newly renovated Petit Stade indoor facility is set to host the betPawa Basketball League playoffs, beginning Friday, August 30, according to information obtained by Times Sport.
The playoffs schedule, seen by Times Sport, reveals that the 1,000-seat venue will host Games 1 and 2 of the two semifinal matchups. The remainder of the tournament will then move to BK Arena.
Patriots and Kepler will be the first teams to compete at Petit Stade, marking the facility’s return to basketball after a hiatus since 2022 due to ongoing renovations as part of the Amahoro Stadium project.
Later that day, APR will face Rwanda Energy Group in their Game 1 at the same venue.
The semifinals of the Rwanda Basketball League playoffs will follow a best-of-five series format. The winners from these matchups will advance to the finals, which will be contested in a best-of-seven series. The ultimate champion will secure a spot in the Basketball Africa League (BAL).
