The University of Toledo has announced its men’s basketball schedule for the 2024-25 season. The 18-game Mid-American Conference (MAC) schedule was released by the league office. A complete television schedule will be available later, and some Saturday games may be rescheduled to Friday nights.
Season tickets for the 2024-25 men’s basketball season are now available. Fans can purchase tickets at the Rocket Athletic Ticket Office, located at the Sullivan Athletic Complex in Savage Arena, by calling 419-530-GOLD (4653), or online at utrockets.com/tix.
The Rockets, who have won the MAC title for four consecutive years, will begin their conference play on the road against Western Michigan on January 4. Their first MAC home game will be against Eastern Michigan on January 7. Toledo will start its season with a game at Troy on November 4 and will have its home opener against Wright State on November 13.
Toledo will play each MAC team twice, except for Central Michigan, Miami, Northern Illinois, and Western Michigan, whom they will face once. The Rockets will host Central Michigan on January 11 and Northern Illinois on February 1, while visiting Western Michigan in their conference opener and Miami on February 11.
Other home games at Savage Arena include matchups against Kent State on January 21, Buffalo on February 4, Ball State on February 18, Bowling Green on February 22, Akron on March 4, and Ohio on March 7.
The MAC Tournament will take place from March 12-15 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland.
Toledo aims to extend its streak as the only current MAC program to win four straight outright league titles. The Rockets return two starters from last season’s team, which finished with a 20-12 overall record and a 14-4 conference record. Sophomore forward Javan Simmons, who averaged 12.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per game, was named MAC Freshman of the Year. Sophomore guard Sonny Wilson, who averaged 8.0 points and 2.2 assists per game, earned a spot on the MAC All-Freshman Team.
The team will also welcome veteran transfers Isaiah Adams (12.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists per game at Buffalo), Seth Hubbard (14.1 points, 3.4 rebounds per game at Western Michigan), and Colin O’Rourke (17.5 points, 6.2 rebounds per game at Wisconsin-Parkside).
