Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas has found a unique way to pass the time while he’s off the court. After his early exit from the Cincinnati Masters, Tsitsipas decided to have a bit of fun by asking the AI chatbot ChatGPT to roast him.
Tsitsipas shared the chatbot’s witty response on social media. The roast humorously poked fun at Tsitsipas’s social media presence and his playing style. The AI wrote:
“Stefanos Tsitsipas: the guy who spends more time philosophizing on Twitter than actually serving up a solid second serve. He’s the only player who can turn a simple changeover into a TED Talk on Greek mythology and still come back to the court with his shoelaces untied. Maybe if he spent less time perfecting his Instagram captions and more time working on his backhand slice, he’d have a few more trophies by now. But hey, at least his hair game is winning, even if his forehand occasionally forgets what direction it’s supposed to go.”
As the 2024 US Open approaches, Tsitsipas has arrived in New York City. The tournament kicks off on Monday, August 26, at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens. Tsitsipas, who lost in the second round of last year’s competition, will start this year’s event with high hopes.
Currently ranked 11th in the world, Tsitsipas last competed on August 15, where he was defeated by world No. 25 Jack Draper with a score of 3-6, 6-4, 7-5 in Cincinnati. This season, Tsitsipas has a 36-16 record and has won one title, in Monte-Carlo. He also reached the final in Barcelona.
In his upcoming match, Tsitsipas will face world No. 664 John Isner in the Round Robin on Sunday at 6:00 pm on Center Court. Tsitsipas holds a 6-2 career record against Isner.
Tsitsipas has won 12 career titles: one on hard courts, five on clay courts, five on indoor courts, and one on grass. His next challenge is the US Open, which starts on August 26.
