Hull FC Sports College is celebrating a remarkable 97% pass rate on Results Day 2024. All students completing their studies at the college this year have met or exceeded their target grades in the Level 3 Diploma, Extended Diploma, and Personal Training programs.
The college, part of the Hull FC Centre of Excellence, reports that 90% of its students have secured their next steps. This includes continuing their education, entering apprenticeships, or finding employment within and outside the sports sector.
Notable achievers include first-team players Jack Charles and Will Kirby, who both earned the top grade of ‘Distinction’ while balancing their studies with their football duties.
The Centre of Excellence offers a comprehensive rugby league program, integrating coaching, development, and education. This program aims to provide young players with the best chance to advance in professional sports, whether on the field or in other roles.
Jack Lazenby, Education Programme Lead, said, “We are proud of the commitment and work ethic our students have shown over the past two years. As they move on to higher education or the workforce, including our first-grade squad, they carry with them the skills and knowledge they have gained.”
The Hull FC Sports College will continue recruiting for the 2024/25 academic year. Prospective students interested in becoming professional rugby players, sports coaches, physiotherapists, or strength and conditioning specialists are encouraged to apply.
The college offers a tailored education program that combines academic studies with sporting ambitions, providing a balanced approach to theory and practical experience essential for a career in sports.
